What can I say? I’m not a nice person. When I walk by, people call me a slut, and I’m okay with that. I believe in calling a spade a spade. I am a slut.
With the holidays approaching, I miss belonging to The Last Riders. Drake’s keeping me warm, but he wants more than I can give. He wants me to trust him, to believe he can protect me. Doesn’t he know Santa put me on the Naughty List long ago?

What can I say? I’m a nice guy and have always done the responsible thing.
Bliss is everything I shouldn’t want, but it’s hard to resist a woman who stopped believing in miracles. She wants to be back with The Last Riders, whom she considers her true family. Doesn’t she know it’s Christmas, and miracles do happen?

"I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.

Taking after my mother, I've always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.

For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.

Currently I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC, Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls.
All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”

Pediatrician Dara McKinley loves her job. So how could she say no when her sister asks her to come to Kabul for a few weeks to offer medical assistance at a local orphanage? Terrified of the dangers surrounding her, Dara finds unexpected solace in the protective arms of Sergeant Matt Culver. Transfixed by the warrior with the exotic gold eyes, can Dara overcome her fears?

Matt, a Delta Force operator, has always listened to his instincts, and they have yet to steer him wrong. So when he sees the alluring blond belly dancer at Bagram’s annual holiday show, he knows without a doubt that she’s “the one.” Now he just has to convince her to take a chance on him…and love. If they survive…

“I saw your wore red fingernail polish when you danced.”
She smiled. “Yes.  To match my costume.” Taking a sip of wine, she added, “You don’t miss much, do you?”
“I can’t in my world,” he agreed, somber. Matt finished the meal and took her empty plate, putting both aside so they could be picked up. “Have you ever known anyone in black ops before?”
“No. I’m finishing my third and last year of residency training at a hospital in Arlington, Virginia. I never meet military men except when I come here for a week to help out Callie and her charity. I do it once a year—it’s my way of giving back.”
Matt rested his chin on his folded hands, studying her beneath the dim light. “You have a good heart,” he said. He watched her face soften and her cheeks color briefly.
“Thanks. I just can’t stand to see a pregnant mother, infant, or child suffer. It just kills me. Callie begged me to come over here, and I’ve been doing it the last two years.”
“So are you here much longer?” Matt finally asked.
“Not really. I’m here for six days.”
    “I see. And Callie?”
“Oh, she’s here full-time. The charity she works for has her in Kabul for six months and then she goes back to their headquarters in San Francisco the other six.”
“How many times has she been to Kabul, then?”
“Five years in a row.” Dara sighed. “I worry so much about her, Matt. This is a very, very dangerous place. I don’t feel safe outside the wire. When I’m in Kabul, half my attention is on whether we’re going to be attacked in the van we’re riding in or whether an RPG will be shot into the building where the orphanage is.” She nibbled on her full lower lip. “You can tell I’m a genuine worrier.”
He reached over, his hand covering hers for a moment. “Listen, I’ve got the next week off. We’re on standby for Thanksgiving. I’d be glad to ride shotgun with you two, stay with you where you work for the day, and then get you back here to Bagram.”
Matt slowly removed his hand from hers. Her skin felt like firm velvet, those slender hands of hers long and delicate. He imagined what they would feel like across his body. That sent his erection, which was already pressing against his zipper, into overdrive.
This woman turned him on. In fact, she turned him inside out. There was a deep sensitivity to Dara, one that he wanted to intimately explore with her.
    “Could you do that, Matt?”
“Sure. I’ll just let my CO know, get authorization, and I’ll be yours for the rest of the week.”
    “But couldn’t that be dangerous?”
He grinned a little. “Dara, my business is dangerous all the time. So riding with you in a van, checking out the building where you two are working, and riding back in a van to Bagram is child’s play compared to what we usually do. Okay?”
He saw her eyes darken and grow concerned. Now Dara was worried about him! He’d have laughed, but he realized that she was a civilian and had no clue as to what he did in black ops.  Not that the Army was telling anyone about Delta Force. They weren’t, so he couldn’t fault Dara for her reaction.
“That would be wonderful! Honestly, I’d never tell Callie this, but I cringe thinking about coming here. I just don’t ever feel safe or completely relaxed.”

New Release: Dragon Storm (Black Dragons #2) by Katie MacAlister

Dragon Storm
Black Dragons #2
By: Katie MacAlister
Releasing November 24, 2015

Buy Links:  Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Google Play | iTunes | Kobo | Books-A-Million

According to some (including himself), Constantine is one of the greatest heroes of dragonkin who ever lived. Too bad he's now lonelier than ever and his biggest adventure involves a blow-up sheep-until he has an opportunity to save his kind once again. All Constantine has to do is break into a demon's dungeon, steal an ancient artifact, and reverse a deadly curse. The plan certainly does not involve rescuing a woman . . .

Bee isn't sure whether to be infuriated or relieved when Constantine pops up in her prison. The broody, brawny shifter lights her fire in a way no one ever has before, yet how far can she really trust him? Their chemistry may be off the charts, but when push comes to shove, Constantine will have to make a crucial choice: to save the dragons or the woman he's grown to love with fierce intensity.

“Well, I don’t like to be touched,” Bee said, walking forward purposely until she reached the limit of the chain. “Not by women, disembodied Knockers, or even dragons with dreamy knuckles.”
“My knuckles are not dreamy,” Constantine said quickly, and waited for her to turn back to him before he moved forward, once again taking her hand. “They are simply hands, nothing more. Functional in a manly sort of way, but just hands. They are certainly not worth commenting about.”
“For pity’s sake, will you stop trying to paw me!” Bee stopped and whirled around to face Constantine, banging the birdcage against his hand in an attempt to loosen the grip. “I’m not interested in you, OK? Talk about arrogance—will you get it through your thick head that just because you’re handsome, and have eyes that are the color of an old piece of amber, and hair that you think at first glance is just brown, but then you realize is shot through with dark honey, doesn’t mean that I’m going to swoon at your feet just because you keep touching me.”
“Do you dislike men?” Constantine asked.
“No! At least, not in the sense you mean.” She tugged down her shirt in an irritated manner. “I just don’t like being manhandled, OK? Not even by handsome dragons. Especially by handsome dragons.”
“You say the word dragon like we are some sort of beast. We are not human, but we are an ancient race, and have adopted human mores. We are polite, we are considerate—when it behooves us to be—and we have very nice manners.”
“Ha! I knew a dragon once, and he was anything but nice. He was always grabbing me, and teasing me with his fire, which hurt like the dickens if you want to know the truth.”
“You don’t like dragons?” Constantine couldn’t believe his ears. He’d met women who hadn’t desired him personally, but never one who was prepared to damn all of the dragonkin.
“Let’s just say that given past experience, I don’t seek out your company.”
Constantine stared at her in confusion, then did the only thing he could think of. He kissed her.
She started when his mouth claimed hers, but despite his guess that she’d push him away, or slap him for such a brash move, her mouth opened under his and welcomed him into her sweetness.
