Bewitching in Boots by Lila DiPasqua

DW Team ReviewMs DiPasqua takes us back to the courts of Louis XIV with this retelling of the Puss in Boots fairy tale. This is a hot and steamy story in a world where women and their possessions are owned and controlled by men but there is always the exception - the strong woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. Sit back make yourself comfortable and enjoy Elisabeth de Roussel's story.  She is the favourite daughter of the king at the moment.

Elisabeth has decided that she will choose her next husband and she knows who she wants and has a plan to get her man, the ex-commander of the King's private Guard. The Musketeer Tristan de Tiersonnier was injured and has stood down. While manouvering around her father, Elisabeth must be careful about how she goes about getting her man.  Elisabeth's thoughts of Tristan are always hot and steamy so when she arrives at his chateau in men's clothing and the sexiest pair of boots to get fencing lessons Tristan is hard pressed to ignore her but he tries.

This is an erotic tale of determination and love. Neither Elisabeth nor Tristan own up to love willingly but when they realize they are in love, you will be smiling. This is a wonderfully written short story that yes you will need a fan at the ready. It’s hot! I thoroughly enjoyed this one, as I have all of Ms DiPasqua's stories and I highly recommend this one. I have a soft spot for Tristan.
