The Dragon Queen's Fake Fiance by Mina Carter blurb

I was thinking of a quick, fun read but The Dragon Queen's Fake Fiance touched my heart and brought me to tears. It was sexy and dashing, with a splash of danger and a lot of emotion. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was perfect for an afternoon's diversion.

I remember Sawyer from Hunted by the Dragon Duke. Even then, I knew I liked him but I fell in love with him in this story. His yearning for Cadie pulled at my heart, and the futility of his situation and what he had to live with brought me to tears. I loved that he was strong, protective and decisive. And when the lines were drawn, he fought to right a wrong that was being perpetrated upon Cadie.

I liked Cadie. She is a dedicated ruler, and loyal to her people and their well-being. It made me sad that she did not recognise Sawyer for who he truly was to her even though she felt an attraction to him. And even though she was queen, to be protected and cared for, she was a power to be reckoned with which she demonstrated clearly.

Both Sawyer and Cadie found themselves in an impossible situation caused by a delusional and power-hungry prince. The bloodthirsty part of me wanted Cadie to be a lot less diplomatic than she was in dealing with the bad guy but since she was queen, she did the right thing. Me, I wanted her to be more like the Queen of Hearts and yell "off with his head!".

As always, I enjoy Ms Carter's writing. Whenever I want something I know I will enjoy but is a quick read, I turn to her. I'm certain I will be reading more of her work in the future.

The Dragon Queen's Christmas Wedding by Mina Carter blurb

This is a quick, short story featuring Cadie and Sawyer's wedding on Christmas Eve and their mating. It was fun to visit with the two of them again and to enjoy the festive season with them. It's the perfect short read for the festive season for anyone who loves a good dragon shifter story. Of course, read The Dragon Queen's Fake Fiance first to see how Cadie and Sawyer get to this point.
